Inv. No. YMZ-7895The central gem is engraved with an icon of Christ enthroned. Engraved gemstones with icons
have a long history and many examples have been preserved from medieval Byzantium and Russia. The angels with crossed wings represent Seraphim who surround the throne of Christ.
